The Alchemy of Sound and Movement

This class creates a listening context that allows us to discover the intrinsic movement inherent in the fluid system of our bodies. With breath, sound, movement and awareness of our biology, we allow arching curving, spiraling movements to open us to the body's natural ability to resource itself.

With dynamic or meditative movements, we create a body in heightened resonance with its environment - a deeply pleasurable, nourishing, self-paced way of movement, off the mat! Come as you are, no previous experience necessary.

Four Saturdays: March 13, 20, 27 and April 3, 10am - 1pm.

Matrilineage Project:
Treasures of the Motherline

In the archetypal relationship between mother and daughter and mother and son, the feminine is formed and informed for future generations. In a society marked by masculine values, it is empowering to engage with the cellular memory transmitted through our female heritage as it presents in the body.

Starting from a story, a question or an image we enter the field of our female lineage with Continuum movement, deep listening and theater improvisation. Held in the cauldron of an ensemble of, we find the treasures of our motherline and move through the mystery to embody the fruits of our generational body in celebratory class performance. No previous experience necessary. Join the fun!
